Irina Cristescu MA, visual art Unarte Bucharest (b. 1991, Cluj Napoca) started her art education at Parsons School of Design, New York. Upon her return to the country, she decided to dedicate herself entirely to art. She discovers and examines the human nature and its momentary condition through color.
"This is how I explore the untamed parts of the self. I love playing with layers of color to get closer to our natural state - to be and to love.”
Irina noticed how the contemporary society creates frictions between people and captures the substrates of various personalities through painting. The mirror of the soul becomes a system using real, painted mirrors.
Her works can be found in private collections in Switzerland, Mexico, New York and Japan.
